Sleep apnea does not kill people due to breath stopping but it affects our quality of life and performance. The real issue in Vietnam is that people do not know about it and many people are not diagnosed, or even if they know they may not know what to do. So, the mission of a proposed project, apart from academic concern, is to improve the awareness level of Vietnam about OSA and attract the attention of the Society so that more people will be diagnosed and treated. This talk will deliver a short information about what are doing to connect our in-land resources for support OSA patients in Vietnam and other countries.

Dr. Mai Anh Tuan received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, France, in 2004. He has worked for Hanoi University of Science and Technology for almost 18 years, followed by 3-year as a director of the Microfabrication Laboratory and Pilot Plant at Hoa Lac High-Tec Park (MPH). He also is the Vice- Director of Technology Incubator of NACENTECH. Dr. Tuan also works as a senior industrial consultant and an expert at Vietnam Industrial Agency (VIA), focusing on supporting the local companies (mechanical, electronics, and automobile) to participate in the supply chain worldwide. Dr. Tuan has moved to VNU University of Engineering and Technology (UET-VNU) since 2022, and he is currently working for the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications with a group of engineers from the Institute of Technology Applications (Ministry of Science and Technology).
