Manh Duong Phung is currently an Assistant Professor at the VNU University of Engineering and Technology. He has had over 12 years of teaching experience at the tertiary education level including the lecturer position at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and University of Western Sydney (WSU). His research interests are in the areas of automation in construction, 3D reconstruction, image processing, and mobile robot localization and mapping.
He conducted research projects on Eye tracking with NTT Cyber Solution Laboratory, Japan (2007), Tele-heath with Mechatronics and Automation Laboratory of National University of Singapore (2009), 3D hand tracking with Samsung Vietnam Mobile R&D Centre (2013), Point cloud processing in construction with SIAMA Pty Ltd, Australia (2015), Robotics and Automation in Construction with Department of Defence, Australia (2017) and published a number of of research papers.
Phung was the recipient of many research awards including the 2016 Endeavour Research Fellowship of Australia Government.
