April 21, 2020: Prof. K.V.S. Hari (Indian Inst. Science, Indian), Wireless Channel Modelling of Drone-Ground links using RF measurements

He will briefly introduce the motivation to study channel modeling followed by a brief overview of the experiments in channel measurements leading to the IEEE 802.16 standard. He will present the challenges in developing a communication system for drone communication links using current systems like LTE and the motivation to study the wireless channel models for such networks. Also, he will present the drone-ground wireless channel measurement system design, data collection methodology, and preliminary results of the analysis based on the experiments that have been carried out on the campus of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

February 2, 2024: Dr. Khoa D. Doan (Vin Univeristy) Toward Reliable and Practical Machine Learning Applications

While Machine Learning (ML) has rapidly transformed several domains and applications with incredible successes, there are also important areas where the progress is significantly slower. Specifically, there exists a widened complexity gap between the methods currently investigated in research and those used in practice in these areas. One reason is that many algorithms, despite achieving […]
