Neurodegeneration and Artificial Intelligence

Neurodegeneration is a general term for the loss of structure or function of nerve cells, including neuronal death. Many neurodegenerative diseases result from neurodegenerative processes, including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), etc. Artificial intelligence has made significant contributions to supporting the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. The "Neurodegeneration and Artificial Intelligence" workshop is a forum for exchanging applications of artificial intelligence in neurodegenerative diseases specifically and in medicine in general. In particular, the workshop aims to develop collaborative research applications between doctors, healthcare professionals, scientists at hospitals, medical schools, pharmacies within the country with scientists from the VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the VNU University of Engineering and Technology, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), as well as related partners. This workshop also contributes to the development of the QGCT.23.02 national key research program, focusing on "Research and application of science and technology to enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities of diseases and develop products from medicinal materials at Vietnam National University".

The workshop is organized by the VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The workshop is co-organized by the VNU University of Engineering and Technology, and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium).
