1. General information about the Program

+ Master program in Electronics, Electrical Energy, Automatic control (E3A) with specialization (M2) in Communication and Data Engineering, jointly organized by VNU University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Paris-Saclay University, France.

+ Standard duration of Program: 12 months (M2 only).

+ Training location: University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam

+ Language of instruction: English

+ Teaching staff: Professors from Paris-Saclay University and VNU University of Engineering and Technology of high standing in teaching and research.

+ Degree: Master de Sciences, Technologies, Santé, mention Electronique, Énergie Électrique, Automatique, parcours Communication and Data Engineering.

2. Admission targets and process

+ Maximum number of students: 27 students

+ Admission process: 2 stages: 1/ application assessment and 2/ interview. Applicants who have shortlisted in stage 1 will be invited for the interview.

3. Eligibility

+ Vietnamese citizens: hold a bachelor’s degree with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a minimum 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale and meet the program’s admission requirements

+Non-Vietnamese citizens or overseas Vietnamese citizens: hold a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, and comply to relevant current regulations.

4. Admission requirements

a, University-level requirements

i) M1 students within the LMD framework of the E3A program.

ii) Current first-year students of a master’s program run by VNU University of Engineering and Technology (holding a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale) and have succeeded in the following prerequisite courses, or equivalent: Stochastics Processes, Digital Signal Processing, and Advanced Programming.

iii) Hold a bachelor’s degree conferred by VNU-UET with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale.

iv) Hold a bachelor’s degree in the field of Sciences and Technologies for Information and Communications, conferred by a Vietnamese university with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 GPA scale, or conferred by a non-Vietnamese university and accumulated at least 240 ETCS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), and have succeeded in the following prerequisite courses, or equivalent: Stochastics Processes, Digital Signal Processing, and Advanced Programming.

b, English proficiency requirements

Hold a valid English certificate within two years from the exam date to the date of submission to the Program and was issued by an institution recognized by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training. The minimum level of English proficiency is 4 on a 6 scale, or equivalent (English level B2 according to European Framework, TOEFL iBT 72, IELTS 5.5…).

The applicant is exempted from the requirement of English proficiency if:

i) Holds a bachelor’s degree in English, or equivalent.

ii) Holds a high-school diploma, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree (full-time study) conferred by a foreign university where the training language is English. Diplomas granted by a foreign educational institution must be recognized by an authorized Vietnamese agency according to current regulations.

c, Admission interview requirements

Pass the interview jointly organized by VNU University of Engineering and Technology and Paris-Saclay University. Interview contents include knowledge (of Stochastics Process, Digital Signal Processing, Advanced Programming), English proficiency, and study plan.

5. Application documents:

a) Application Form for Master program (Download HERE).

b) Notarized copy and notarized French translation of the High-school Diploma, the Bachelor’s Degree, the Bachelor Academic Transcript; Notarized copy and Notarized French translation of the Master’s Degree and Master Academic Transcript, if any.

c) Notarized copy of your English Certificate.

d) Two Letters of Reference in English.

e) Letter of Motivation in English.

f) Sơ yếu lý lịch có dán ảnh, có xác nhận của địa phương hoặc nơi đang công tác (only applicable to and compulsory for Vietnamese applicants currently living in Vietnam).

g) Curriculum Vitae in English.

h) 02 3×4 ID photos taken within 06 months (on the back of each photo, clearly write: Full name, date of birth)

i) Notarized copy of your Passport, valid for at least 06 months

j) Notarized copy and Notarized French translation of your Birth Certificate.

k) Health check certificate: issued by an authorized medical institution of the home country or a provincial or above level medical institution in Vietnam issued not later than 06 months before the date of application submission certifying that the health status of the international student is sufficient for study.

l) Financial proofs to cover the tuition fee equivalent to 90 million VND (applicable to non-Vietnamese applicants).

m) Proofs of awards, scientific publications, if any, in English.

Documents listed in points (k) and (l) can be submitted by the date of enrolments.

6. Admission Process

a) Application date and address: Applications are submitted between June 1, 2022 and August 17, 2022, following three steps:

i) Email: All application documents should be scanned and compressed in ZIP format and sent to master.paris-saclay@vnu.edu.vn.

ii) Online: Fill the application online at HERE.

iii) Hardcopy: Submit your application documents in hard copy to

Applicants can pay the application fee at the place where you submit the hard copy or make a bank transfer to the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Acc. No: 21510000214781, Account holder: Truong Dai Hoc Cong nghe. Applicants need to save proof of the payment.

c) Tuition fee: 90.000.000 VND / whole M2 program.

d) Admission assessment and interview: from August 24 to September 9, 2022.

e) Enrolment: October 2022 (estimate).
